Fall 2025 BAND CAMP DETAILS


What to Bring:

  • Water!
  • Food (see Meals)
  • Your instrument (except for percussion)
  • Athletic shoes
  • Earplugs
  • Dot book / Notebook (3x5 spiral notebook)
  • Be ready for the weather – you will be outside much of the day – sunscreen, hat, even sweatshirt/raincoat, whatever the weather calls for
  • Wear deodorant. These are long, often hot days. Your fellow band members (and staff!) will thank you.
  • 3-ring binder (1-inch) and sheet protectors.
  • Join the Band App


Band Camp Daily Schedule: 9 am – 8 pm Mon-Fri Aug 11-15 and Mon-Fri Aug 18-22

  • Mon. August 11th (First day of Camp):
  • Registration Table will be open from 8:00-9:30am
  • Please check in even if you already registered online.
  • Bring your first payment if you have not already paid online.
  • Please make checks payable to Liberty Band Boosters.
  • Thu. August 14th:
  • Parent informational night with Q&A 7pm. Opportunity for parents to meet/reconnect before the season gets into full swing; boosters will provide snacks/treats. Students will still be practicing.
  • Fri. August 15th:
  • Students can participate in Falcon Fix Up (which may provide lunch).
  • Taco Night - Liberty Band Boosters provides buffet-style taco dinner for students
  • Fri. August 22nd (Last Day of Camp):
  • Show preview for parents at 6pm. There will be a potluck after the preview. Will send out a signup for side dishes. Boosters will serve hamburgers and hotdogs hot from the grill!


Meals:

  • Bring a durable water bottle every day – ideally two 32-oz bottles
  • Students need to bring their own lunch every day (except Aug 15 if signed up for Falcon Fix Up)
  • Students need to bring their own dinner every day except Friday Aug 15th and Friday Aug 22nd
  • Students are working hard for long days. Pack enough food!
  • Refrigerator access is limited – bring your own small cooler if needed


Transportation:

  • No transportation is provided to band camp, rehearsals, games, or competitions at Liberty HS (buses are provided to away competitions).
  • Parents can negotiate carpools amongst themselves, or email libertybandandguard@gmail.com and we can help match you with nearby families.


What Comes Next After Band Camp:

  • Monday and Wednesday rehearsals from 6-9pm
  • Football games some Fridays
  • Saturday competitions starting around the end of September.
  • Can Drive (Saturday mornings) and other fundraisers throughout the year.
  • Winter Percussion starts mid-November.
